Widgets are small pieces of useful functionality that can be instantly dragged and dropped into a website. The concept was launched recently so we'd love for people to contribute their own, to be showcased here.

The blog module comes out of the box with several official widgets to get you going, including Blog archive, RSS feeds, and Tag Cloud, and you can download widgets below that have been built by the SilverStripe community:
Widgets
Recent Page Comments by simon_w
Shows a number of the most recent page comments on your website. Optionally customisable to show just comments on your blog pages.
Sandbox Widget by simon_w
This widget allows you to test themes and widgets available on silverstripe.com. You can then choose to keep the widget/theme, or delete it.
Finance Calculator by Jeff
Pick a finance calculator to display on your website. Currently includes two calculators, savings and loan.
Picture of the Day widget by david.mestel
Displays the Picture of the Day from the English Wikipedia.
PayPal donation widget by simon_w
Shows a button allowing your visitors to donate to a PayPal account of your choosing.
Language Chooser Widget by simon_w
Allows you to select the language to browse the website with.
Changes:
- Now uses Controller::currentController()->ID instead of Controller::currentController()->failover->ID (bug found/fixed by Andrei Dragomir)
- Added option to display current language in the widget.
- Doesn't display on controller-less pages.
