SilverStripe on the iPhone

Posted by Sigurd on 26 July 2007

One of the great fortunes of the Apple iPhone is that it is bundled with Safari 3, meaning the SilverStripe administration screen loads up and works a treat... of course, without a mouse and a keyboard it would hardly be productive, but certainly impressive nonetheless.

  • Performance and load was alright; it was just a bit fiddly. You really wanted to plug in a mouse and keyboard :P

  • After a 10 minute play with one last night, it certainly was fun. The interface is really fun and it had lots of usability breakthroughs that were satisfyingly fresh. The two finger str]retch/pinch movement is great :)

Of course, by not having one, you have the liberty of experiencing the physical world around you when you're not in the office :P
