SilverStripe 2.2.2 release candidate 1 is now available for download. It is a bug-fix release only, and solves several dozen issues.
Please help us make this a stable version of SilverStripe by downloading, and looking for problems during installation, upgrading, and general use.

I just tried version 2.2.1 and then 2.2.2 RC1 with the same errors being generated. On install everything seems to be looking good. Not sure what to put in development servers so I left it with localhost & IP 127.0.0.1. At the bottom of the install the installation says;
Server Software: I can't tell what webserver you are running. Without Apache I can't tell if mod_rewrite is enabled.
AND
mod_rewrite enabled: I can't tell whether mod_rewrite is running. You may need to configure a rewriting rule yourself.
I do not know what is meant by that but my hosting provider uses apache web server - php 5.2 and mysql. I have no way of editing the apache stuff because it is automated by the hosting provider. Whatever that means. So when I continue to install I get an installation error and cannot proceed any further. I get this message and do not know what to do afterwards .
I am now running through the installation steps (this should take about 30 seconds)
If you receive a fatal error, refresh this page to continue the installation

I hope you can help me out to get the RC installed so I can use your software. I really like what you guys are doing in NZ and hope to be able to use silverstripe.
My email is robert.parent@nwafilms.com.
Talk to you soon,
Rob
