SilverStripe 2.1 released

Posted by Sigurd on 2 October 2007

After 3 release candidates, we're satisfied that SilverStripe 2.1 is stable. So, go and download it, and make use of its fantastic features! (See full changelog)

Please note that beginning with this release, SilverStripe warns you that you need PHP 5.2 or higher. While it should work with some earlier versions, this allows us to move to requiring PHP 5.2 in future versions (See explanation).

Also note that the Forum and Ecommerce modules need to be upgraded to work with SilverStripe 2.1.

So, what's new?

  • Chuzzuka; cannot seem to replicate this, however the demo resets itself every hour so it may have fixed itself.

  • We've made a number of accessible sites in the past; see w3csites.org. Note that the HTML you use to make a SilverStripe powered website is entirely up to you, thus 508 compliance is entirely up to you, and can be achieved with any version of SilverStripe

  • This is a very impressive system. I hope you will consider Accessibility & 508 Compliance standards in future editions as well.
