SilverStripe Modules

Modules are free, open-source, additions to the SilverStripe system that produce new featrures out of the box, without any HTML, CSS, or PHP necessary. They can then be optionally customised to suit your needs.

 

All our modules are released under the same license as the rest of our CMS.

Blog (v0.1)


Installing the blog module gives you blog module that works out of the box, and allowing reskinning and side-bar widgets. It supports tag clouds, monthly archives, akismet spam protection, comment moderation, and RSS feeds. 

E-commerce (v0.5.1 beta)

This module gives you access to a shopping cart for your SilverStripe site so you can easily add products and allow users to purchase them.

WorldPay and DPS are two payment gateways that work out of the box with the module. If you would like help setting up DPS or WorldPay, please let us know. We'd be happy to help.

Furthermore, if you require development of specific features for e-commerce, please let us know.

EmbargoExpiry (v0.1)

Give your pages embargo and expiry dates so that automatically come online and go away at your instruction.



External Authentication (v0.2)

Now you can authenticate against an LDAP server, Active Directory, a mailserver, or some other external source instead of just your SilverStripe member database.


Flickr Gallery (v0.2)

Your SilverStripe website can now easily display photos uploaded to Flickr by you or others. The code is extendable so that you can use it as a starting point for your own customised implementation. Developed as a Google Summer of Code project by Lakshan.

Forum (v0.1.2)

This module gives you an instant forum to your silverstripe site based on the blackcandy theme. 

  • Allows multiple forums, each with separate security permissions that can be adjusted inside the CMS
  • RSS feeds (for each forum, and an overall feed)
  • Member profiles showing recent posts
  • Posts allow bbcode and file uploads
  • Can easily extend the registration form
  • Topic subscription (Subscribe to a topic and get an email when someone posts something new)

Gallery (v0.2.2)

This module makes it easy to show off photos, videos and other files that all reside in a directory of your webserver. It is similar to the flickr gallery module with some extra sophistication and configuration possible. Developed by Romain.

Maps (v0.11 preview)

Thanks to Ofir it is now easy to add maps to SilverStripe websites. This initial release is a preview allowing GoogleMaps support, and when used in conjunction with the forum module, it adds allows members to choose their location so that the whole forum membership can be plotted on a world map.


Technorati Module  (v0.1)

Technorati accumulates webpages anywhere on the internet based on a particular term, e.g. "sports cars". This module lets you have a list of latest additions to technorati based on any phrase. The code is extendable so that you can use it as a starting point for your own customised implementation. Developed as a Google Summer of Code project by Lakshan.

Youtube Gallery (v0.1)

Your SilverStripe website can now easily display videos uploaded to Youtube by you or others. The code is extendable so that you can use it as a starting point for your own customised implementation. Developed as a Google Summer of Code project by Lakshan.
