Dawn® is a product by SilverStripe Ltd. SilverStripe is committed to protecting and maintaining the privacy and accuracy of your personal and website metric information. The following Privacy Policy explains how we collect and utilize your information and our commitment to your privacy.

You own your website metric data

SilverStripe Dawn® is an online website monitoring system which retrieves and stores metric data about a website's operations and website environment. SilverStripe Dawn® will only store information that is automatically retrieved from the organisation's website environment as described in the SilverStripe Dawn® product documentation and configured by a user's instruction. The data retrieved remains the property of the organisation and SilverStripe Dawn® will not use nor make available for use any of this information without permission of the organisation, other than for the purpose of improving the SilverStripe Dawn® product.

Personal and organisation information collected

When you register with SilverStripe Dawn®, we need to ask for information such as your name, company name, email address, your billing address and credit card information.

SilverStripe uses the collected information for the following general purposes: to process and fulfill your order, billing, service improvement, and research.

SilverStripe will not make any of the collected information available to anyone. We will never sell, rent, exchange or share your personal information with any third-parties.

SilverStripe may need to share the collected information in order to respond to investigation, court orders, legal process, or to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of SilverStripe Dawn®'s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

SilverStripe Dawn® will send a welcome email to verify your new account. We will only email account holders for billing purposes. We will occasionally send out strictly SilverStripe Dawn® service related announcements.

You control who has access to your data

The website metric data automatically retrieved from your website environment is stored securely in a database and is only accessible to the approved users of the organisation and to authorised SilverStripe staff. A user name and password is required in order to access an organisation's website metric information in SilverStripe Dawn®.

It is the user's responsibility to keep their passwords safe. It is the account holder's responsibility to ensure that any users that are invited to use the organisation's account have permission to view the organisation's website information stored in the SilverStripe Dawn® account.

SilverStripe Dawn® monitors system usage

SilverStripe has access to and may use aggregate information such as number of associated users, monitoring traffic and billing information for the purpose of billing and monitoring server and software performance as well as for other internal purposes of SilverStripe.

SilverStripe staff can access non-identifying and aggregated usage and monitoring information in order to better understand how our customers are using SilverStripe Dawn® so we can improve the system design and where appropriate have the system prompt users with suggestions on ways to improve their own use of the system. All aggregated usage information is stored in a secure SilverStripe data warehouse facility.

Your website monitoring data is sent securely across the internet

Your website monitoring data is encrypted and sent to SilverStripe Dawn® securely.

SilverStripe does not store your credit card details

Your credit card details are not stored by SilverStripe and cannot be accessed by SilverStripe staff.

We use Chargify to manage account subscriptions and payments. Chargify doesn't store credit card information of any kind. View Chargify's Privacy Policy.

Chargify uses Authorize.net to verify a user's address for credit card authentication purposes.

Your credit card details are encrypted and transmitted via Chargify to the PCI compliant Direct Payment Solution (DPS) payment gateway using secure socket layer technology (SSL), where they are securely stored by Direct Payment Solution to enable SilverStripe to automatically bill your credit card on a recurring basis.
