Coming in October

In follow-up to Tim's post yesterday about the launch of our new site, I thought I'd post a quick note to let you know what we've got planned this month.
- Better Demo Site
We've realised that our demo site could a better job of explaining how SilverStripe works. Because it's a simple platform that's highly customisable, the demo site comes off a little underwhelming. We're going to be releasing a better demo site to show this off more. - Screen Casts
On that note, we will also be putting together screen casts that take you through using and customising SilverStripe, so you can get a feel for what it's like to develop SilverStripe sites.
- Better Documentation
We admit that our documentation wiki needs more work and we will be primarily adding tutorials for first-time SilverStripe developers. We will also grow the reference documentation, but this will be more long-term.
- More Releases
We're going to be putting out new beta releases quite regularly over the next month, in the lead up to our v2.0.0 release. So get those bug-reports in! - Updated Tree Control
Many of you will have signed up to our blog when we released our JavaScript Tree Control last year. The much-promised Ajax release never came, I'm sorry - we got stuck into building our CMS! The Ajax tree has already been developed as part of this CMS, and we just need to re-package into a reusable package. That will be happening this month.
