Today I’m thrilled to announce we have a new CEO here at SilverStripe. Brian Calhoun has been appointed as my successor as the new CEO of the company. With nearly two decades of experience in software companies under his belt (primarily gained in Silicon Valley), and having demonstrated clear leadership, management, and technical expertise, Brian was the obvious choice for appointment to this role.

The appointment also marks a new era in SilverStripe in more way than one. Over the past year, SilverStripe has continued to enjoy strong growth, both as a company (being ranked in the top 500 fastest growing IT companies in the Asia Pacific Region) and with our product, the SilverStripe CMS, which has been voted as being one of the top 5 new content management systems in the world. As a result of this growth, a number of new opportunities for the company have been created which I’m dedicating my time to pursuing under the title of Business Development Director. I’ll be posting more about this in the next few weeks.

This is a very exciting time for SilverStripe and I am proud to pass the CEO duties to Brian. Keep an eye out for Brian’s first blog post here in his new role as CEO.

SilverStripe was founded by Tim Copeland, Sigurd Magnusson, and Sam Minnee. With just under 20 staff members, yes, most people would describe us as a small company.
