SilverStripe OpenID update

Markus has produced a new movie detailing the culmination of his Summer of Code project. The vision was to simplify the process for new users signing up to a SilverStripe-powered forum. Thanks to OpenID, you can grab all your personal details, putting a sweet death to the prospect of filling out another registration form, and dreaming up yet another password... I'll let you know when the update is ready to download!

This is addition to his work allowing OpenID to login to the SilverStripe CMS...

Google Summer of Code Fruit #10: OpenID support

Markus Lanthaler has been working on OpenID support from Italy. His work means you can log into the CMS with an a single sign on, which I for one, will absolutely love. I have hundreds of accounts on websites all over the place, and keeping track of passwords gets tiresome, and I waste heaps of time continuously logging into to each of them each day.

Markus has also added features to the CMS that lets you easily mark pages as only viewable or editable by certain people. We'll showcase this later in the week! In the meantime, check out his OpenID demo.
