Romain has worked on a number of improvements to the gallery module, including;

  • Image borders and other cosmetic effects look nicer
  • Easier to install - no HTML template editing required.
  • Default options improved, making it easier for you to get your first gallery up.
  • You can choose whether your gallery sorts photos alphabetically by title, or by the date you've uploaded the photos.
  • A few bug fixes that were raised by the community - thanks!

It literally took me less than one minute to download, install and see the gallery working when I tested this new release, so go and download gallery-0.2.2.tar.gz!

It would be nice to have a textline under each of the small pictures (to use for picture name), and a few lines of text each of the popup (for a short description).

Demo will be updated when SilverStripe 2.2 comes out in a few days :)

Gallery slideshow; good idea; added to our issue tracker!

Looks nice - I'm fairly new to SS, does the demo have this new version ?

Also does the gallery have a times slideshow option like some of the light-box package around the traps ?
