Wow, barely a day after the PacktPub 2008 CMS Awards named us one of five most promising open source CMS projects for the world to vote on (please vote in the final stage!), our traffic (bandwidth) shot up massively. With about a thousand downloads yesterday, it nearly beat our record, however with only a moderate increase in visitors and page views, this suggests the traffic coming from packtpub.com was a steady stream of people keenly interested in SilverStripe, rather than a deluge of tyre-kickers. So a big welcome to all of you!

This is great since none of the major industry sites like opensourcecms nor cmswire have mentioned the PacktPub award finalists. It illustrates a considerable following and credibility behind this open source CMS competition.

Update: OpenSourceCMS and CMSWire have now put up links to the awards, but that was after midnight on the 12th (our time), so the graph above shows traffic which wasn't a result of those links.
